Prickly Pear

Apparently one of the side effects of going off of Lexapro is a tingling sensation, sometimes described as "electric shocks." Boy howdy, that has kicked in today. I wouldn't describe it as an "electric shock" but rather "pins and needles." All over my body. All of the time. It's not painful, just weird. Stretching and massages are apparently the best treatment for this. Gift certificates or cash donations will be accepted.

I know a personal trainer who is great at stretching people. And I don't think you've used your 3 free sessions yet, have you?

I've discovered, too, that if it is past my bedtime, and I have not taken my medication yet, I get the pins and needles feeling too. I also start seeing some trails...like with hand gestures, and doorways have wonky edges. I wonder if that's what the world REALLY looked like before I started taking the meds, or if my brain waves are even kookier than before? But the meds are working. Last seizure was late November!!!! (knock wood)

Oh yeah, and try a yoga/pilates class at the gym. I may help with stress coping as well at stretch you out and open up joints to help with the tingling.

I get that sensation from time to time, and I'm not even ON lexapro...
Zoloft made me feel like I was underwater, not sure if that was better or worse than the shocks. I hope you are feeling better
